The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 966.2 "Atemalkohol-Messung" of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Informational Technologies) at DIN and VDE. This European Standard applies to breath alcohol test devices which measure the alcohol concentration contained in a breath sample for the purpose of carrying out a selection or preexamination. This standard specifies the requirements for operational safety and performance, test methods and requirements for designation, marking and instructions for use.
