This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 19 "Gaseous and liquid fuels, lubricants and related products of petroleum, synthetic and biological origin", the secretariat of which is held by NEN (Netherlands). The responsible national committee is NA 062-06-14 AA "Chromatographische Analyse" ("Chromatographic analysis") at Technical Section "Mineralöl- und Brennstoffnormung" (FAM) at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP). This document specifies a direct gas chromatographic method of analysis for the quantitative determination of individual organic oxygenate compounds in the range 0,17% (m/m) to 15% (m/m) and total organically bound oxygen up to 3,9 % (m/m) in unleaded petrol having a final boiling point not greater than 220 degrees C.
