Overview

Automatic shut-off valves are valves for the opening or closing of gas pipelines. A gas safety valve according to EN 161 is designed such that it opens when energized and closes automatically when de-energized. The consolidated version of EN 161:2011+A2 contains draft amendment A2 and updates the requirements for valves in 6.2.105 "Balanced valves" and extends EN 161:2011 by a new subclause 6.2.107 "Additional requirements for shut-off function".
