This European Standard provides quality levels for imperfections in thermoplastics welded joints. The standard is directed at manufacturers and testing institutes of products made of thermoplastics. In particular, the standard contains product safety aspects. DIN EN 16296 is the German version of European Standard EN 16296, which has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 "Plastics". The committee responsible for DIN EN 16296 is NA 054-05-12 AA "Fügen von Kunststoffen" ("Joining of plastics") at DIN.
