The standard also contains data about the physical and chemical properties and general information concerning the manufacture and use of the products. This European Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 164 "Water supply" (secretariat: AFNOR, France). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was Working Committee NA 119-04-02 AA "Wasseraufbereitung" ("Drinking water treatment") of the Water Practice Standards Committee (NAW).
