DIN EN 16747:2015-11

This European Standard contains a set of quality requirements for the provision of security services for maritime shipping and seaports. These quality requirements have been prepared in CEN/TC 417 "Project Committee - Maritime and port security services". Quality criteria for the provision of security services both in and for ports and in connection with maritime activities are defined. These may be requested and contracted upon by public and private clients or buyers. This standard does not apply to security services provided by private security companies that are subject to particular rules and conditions and/or related to a specific high-risk situation and/or the use of heavy weapons and/or special training and/or government supervision, such as security services in relation to piracy. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 159-01-02 AA "Wach- und Sicherheitsdienstleistungen" ("Guard and security services") at DIN.
