It is applicable in the context of relationships between external partners (between a customer and suppliers) or internally (for example, between two units of the same organization). The responsible national standardization committee is Steering Committee NA 147 BR "Steering Committee of DIN Standards Committee Quality Management, Statistics and Certification (NQSZ) " at DIN Standards Committee Quality Management, Statistics and Certification (NQSZ).
