It indicates the method of affixing the markings on the shell, on a flange, on an information sign or in another location. When this document is cited as a normative reference in a detail specification or a standard specifying the fitness for use for valves, it shall be considered in conjunction with the specified requirements of that detail specification or standard specifying the fitness for use. The requirements for markings on valves made from plastic materials are not within the scope of this document.
