DIN EN 1914:2016-12

This European Standard applies to ship's boats, lifeboats and workboats. Ship's boats are boats for transport, rescue, salvage and work use and shall be carried on motor ships, passenger ships, push boats and floating equipment in accordance with Article 10.04 Rhine Vessel Inspection Regulations or Article 10.04 Annex II of Directive 2006/87/EC. The standard specifies safety-related requirements and tests. This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 15 "Inland navigation vessels", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). The responsible Working Committee at DIN is NA 132-07-01 AA "FA Binnenschifffahrt, Wasserfahrzeuge, Hafenanlagen (BWH) und NA 132-07 FB" (Inland navigation, inland vessels, port facilities and Steering Committee of Section Inland Navigation Vessels) of DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (NSMT).
