DIN EN 1984:2010-10

This European Standard specifies the requirements for the following steel gate valves which are hot formed, cast or wrought: yoke with outside or inside thread; single or double obturator (shut-off device); wedge or parallel seating; full bore or reduced bore; end connections flanged, with butt welding, socket welding or threaded. The European Standard EN 1984:2009 has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 69 "Industrial valves" (secretariat: France). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 003-00-12 AA "Schieber" ("Valves") of the Valves Standards Committee (NAA). This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive 97/23/EC.
