Overview
This standard EN 2491 has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical section Non-metallic materials, with the collaboration of German experts of the Coatings and Coating Materials Standards Committee (NAB) and the Aerospace Standards Committee (NL). This standard defines the coating methods and characteristics of molybdenum disulphide dry film lubricants which may be applied to parts in titanium, titanium alloys, steel, corrosion resistant steel and nickel-based alloys. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 002-00-14 AA "Beschichtungsstoffe und Beschichtungen für Luft- und Raumfahrt" ("Coatings and coating materials for aerospace") at DIN.
