Overview
This document specifies the characteristics of UV laser printable DR family, 1 to 11 cores, taped, screened (braided) and jacketed electrical lightweight cables for use in the on-board electrical systems of aircraft, at operating temperatures between -55 °C and 260 °C. Nevertheless, if needed, -65 °C is also acceptable as shown by cold test. It is possible to mark these cables by qualified compatible marking, in line with EN 3838. The standard EN 2714-014 has been prepared by the standardization organization ASD-STAN of the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) with the participation of German experts at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-02 AA "Elektrische Leitungen" ("Electric cables") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
