DIN EN 2997-003:2012-08

The standards of the EN 2997 series describe electrical connectors, circular, coupled by threaded ring, fire-resistant or non fire-resistant, operating temperatures -65 °C to 175 °C continuous or 200 °C continuous, 260 °C peak. The new edition of Part 003 specifies the characteristics of square flange mounted receptacles in the family of circular electrical connectors coupled by threaded ring. It applies to classes WS, RS, S and SE defined in Table 3. For contacts, sealing plugs and rear associated cable outlets with this receptacle see EN 2997-002. For plugs and protective covers see EN 2997-008 and EN 2997-009 respectively. With respect to the previous document DIN EN 2997-003:2008-09, Figure 1 has been modified and the standard has been editorially revised. The standards of the EN 2997 standard series have been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Connector") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
