DIN EN 2997-005:2016-11

The standards of the EN 2997 series describe electrical connectors, circular, coupled by threaded ring, fire-resistant or non fire-resistant, operating temperatures -65 °C to 175 °C continuous or 200 °C continuous, 260 °C peak. The new edition of Part 005 specifies the characteristics of hermetic square flange mounted receptacles in the family of circular electrical connectors coupled by threaded ring. It applies to connector classes Y and YE. With regard to free connectors and protective caps, see EN 2997-008 and EN 2997-009. The standard differs from the previous edition DIN EN 2997-005:2012-08 as follows: The contact type "X" has been included in the identification block in Clause 5 and the previous contact type "M" has been changed. The EN 2997 series of standards has been prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Aerospace Standards Committee. AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the aerospace sector. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-02 AA "Elektrische Leitungen" ("Electric cables") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
