DIN EN 2997-009:2015-04

The standards of the EN 2997 series describe circular electrical connectors coupled by threaded ring for aerospace applications, fire-resistant or non-fire-resistant, for operating temperatures -65 °C to 175 °C or 200 °C continuous or 260 °C peak. The new edition of Part 009 specifies the characteristics of protective covers for receptacles in the family of circular electrical connectors coupled by threaded ring. It applies to the classes R, W, KE and K defined in Table 2 of the standard. For receptacles associated with these protective covers, see EN 2997-003 to EN 2997-007. The following changes were made with respect to the previous edition DIN EN 2997-009:2011-02: a) Figure 1 has been revised to increase the diameter values for the eye; b) 4.2 has been supplemented by indications for the parts of the protective covers; c) in Clause 5 Table 3 has been added with the types of attachment and the corresponding list in the designation example was deleted. The standards of the EN 2997 series are prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrical Engineering, with the participation with of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Connector") at the DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
