Overview
The standards of the EN 2997 series describe electrical connectors, circular, coupled by threaded ring, fire-resistant or non fire-resistant, operating temperatures -65 °C to 175 °C continuous or 200 °C continuous, 260 °C peak. Part 016 specifies the characteristics of plugs with integrated accessory in the family of circular electrical connectors coupled by threaded ring. It applies to the classes defined in Table 2. For contacts and filler plugs associated with this plug, see EN 2997-002. For receptacles, see EN 2997-003 to EN 2997-007, EN 2997-014, EN 2997-015 and for protective covers, see EN 2997-010. This standard of the EN 2997 standard series has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Connector") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
