This European Standard specifies a laboratory method for determining the maximum assembly time of adhesives for load-bearing structures at two spread rate levels in standard atmosphere 20/65. The standard serves for obtaining a reliable basis of comparison of the maximum assembly time of adhesives at referenced conditions. Test pieces similar to those for the delamination test according to DIN EN 302-2 are prepared with different assembly times for individual bond lines by using 5 mm spacers in the corners until the highest allowed delamination value is exceeded. With respect to DIN V ENV 302-5:2002-03 the title has been modified and the rolling ball method on an inclined glass plane has been omitted and a method based on the delamination test according to EN 302-2 has been developed instead. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 042-04-05 AA "Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 193/SC 1 Holzklebung" ("Mirror committee for CEN/TC 193/SC 1 Wood adhesives") at DIN.
This document replaces DIN V ENV 302-5:2002-03 .
