This part of DIN EN 438 specifies the methods of test for determination of the properties of high-pressure decorative laminates as defined in Clause 3. These methods are primarily intended for testing the sheets specified in DIN EN 438-3, DIN EN 438-4, DIN EN 438-5, DIN EN 438-6, DIN EN 438-8, and DIN EN 438-9. The responsible committee for this standard is Working Committee NA 054-04-01 AA "Dekorative Schichtstoffe und Mineralwerkstoffe" ("Decorative laminates and solid surfacing materials") at DIN.
