DIN EN 4644-133:2016-10

The EN 4644 series of standards describes modular rectangular electrical and optical connectors with rectangular inserts, operating temperature 175 °C (or 125 °C) continuous. The connectors described in this standard are suitable for use on board of commercial and military aircraft for rack and panel applications under rough environmental conditions. The new edition of part 133 specifies size 3 fixed connectors for rack and panel applications, classes C and D. The free connector corresponding to this fixed connector is defined in EN 4644-131. The standard differs from the previous edition DIN EN 4644-133:2012-01 as follows: a) a legend has been added to Figure 1; b) Figure 2 has been changed and the legend adapted; c) the range numbering in the text and in Table 1 as well as the coding example have been changed in Subclause 4.3, a caption has been added for Figure 3 and the marking "z" has been included in Table 1; d) the marking example in Clause 5 has been changed. The standards of the EN 4644 series are prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL). AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Electrical Connectors") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
