This standard specifies methods of measurement and EMC performance requirements under operating conditions in situ to ensure the ongoing EMC integrity of cable networks. It specifies radiation characteristics and immunity to electromagnetic disturbance of cable networks for television signals, sound signals and interactive services. It covers the frequency range 0,15 MHz to 3,5 GHz. Compared with the previous edition, the following changes have been made: - The first intermediate frequency range (1st IF range) for satellite signal transmission was extended. - The method of measurement and the requirements for in-band immunity were extended. - The substitution method of measurement (power method) was deleted, as well as EMC measurements below 30 MHz. A new annex describes "Measurement in other distances than the standard distance of 3 m". A further new annex explains a "GPS based leakage detection system for cable networks". The responsible committee is DKE/K 735 "Kabelnetze und Antennen für Fernsehsignale, Tonsignale und interactive Dienste" ("Cable networks for television signals, sound signals and interactive services") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
