DIN EN 50085-1:2014-05

This European Standard includes requirements and tests for cable trunking systems and cable ducting systems intended for the accommodation, and where necessary for the electrically protective separation, of insulated conductors, cables and possibly other electrical equipment in electrical and/or communication systems installations. The maximum voltage of these installations is 1 000 V alternating current and/or 1 500 V direct current. Compared to DIN EN 50085-1 (VDE 0604-1):2006-03 the following modifications have been made: a) classification of resistance to impact revised; b) symbol for "flame propagating" added; c) Clauses 9 and 10 revised and tolerances for the temperature added. The responsible body is DKE/UK 543.2 "Führungssysteme für Kabel und Leitungen" ("Conduit systems for cables and wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
