Overview
This standard specifies the relevant test methods and requirements for electrical and mechanical characteristics of indoor drop cables used in cabled distribution networks, environmental performance and fire performance of the cables. The changes refer to the clause regarding the fire performance requirements. The responsible body is DKE/UK 412.3 "Koaxialkabel - und leitungen" ("Coaxial cables") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
This document replaces DIN EN 50117-2-4:2008-08; VDE 0887-2-4:2008-08 .
