The document sets standards for the performance, safety, and communication capabilities of transmission equipment in alarm transmission systems. The document applies only to alarm transmission equipment and not to specific requirements of other standards such as EN 50131 or EN 54. The standard differs from DIN EN 50136-2 (VDE 0830-5-2):2014-08 as follows: a) amendment to Subclause 4.2; b) amendment to Subclause 5.6; c) amendment to Subclause 5.7; d) amendment to Subclause 5.8; e) amendment to Subclause 5.10; f) amendment to Subclause 6.1; g) amendment to Subclause 7.1; h) amendment to Subclause 9.1; i) amendment to Subclause 9.4.1; j) amendment to Subclause 9.4.2.1; k) amendment to Table 6; l) amendment to Subclause 9.4.5.2; m) amendment to Subclause 9.4.7.2; n) replacement of Subclause 9.4.9; o) amendment to Subclause 9.4.14; p) deletion of Subclause 9.4.15; q) addition of Subclause 9.4.19; r) deletion of Subclause A.1.3. Transmission devices in accordance with this standard are used in alarm systems such as burglar and fire alarm systems to transmit alarm messages.
This document replaces DIN EN 50136-2:2014-08; VDE 0830-5-2:2014-08 .
