DIN EN 50173-1:2010-06

This European Standard specifies the structure and configuration of the backbone cabling subsystems of generic cabling systems within the types of premises defined by the other standards in the EN 50173 series; in support of the standards in the EN 50173 series it furthermore specifies channel performance requirements, link performance requirements, backbone cabling reference implementations and component performance requirements. This standard contains Amendment 1:2009 to EN 50173-1, which introduces, among others, the requirements for channels of Class E_A up to 500 MHz and F_A up to 1 000 MHz, modifies specifications for BCT channel classes and updates supported applications. The responsible Committee is Joint Subcommittee GUK 715.3 "Informationstechnische Verkabelung von Gebäudekomplexen" ("Customer premises cabling") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
