DIN EN 50193-1:2013-11

This standard applies to electric instantaneous water heaters for domestic hot water heating for household and similar applications, which show both of the following characteristics: - fulfilling at least one load pattern from Annex A - heating up to temperatures below the boiling temperature. This standard specifies terms, definitions and measurement methods for the assessment of energy efficiency. This standard does not take into account requirements regarding the safety of the appliances. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN EN 50193:1999-06: a) the structure and content of the standard have been revised; b) load patterns and smart control compliance have been introduced. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 513.3 "Wassererwärmer" ("Water heaters") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
