Overview

This European Standard defines the general assembly characteristics which are to be applied to pantographs for metros and light rail vehicles, to enable current collection from the overhead line system. It also defines the tests the pantographs have to perform, excluding insulators. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 351.1 "Fahrzeuge" ("Rolling stock") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.

Replacement amendments

This document replaces DIN EN 50206-2 Berichtigung 1:2000-07; VDE 0115-500-2 Berichtigung 1:2000-07 , DIN EN 50206-2:1999-09; VDE 0115-500-2:1999-09 .
