Overview
This European Standard specifies requirements for automatic electrostatic flock application equipment which is used for applying ignitable flock which may form explosive atmospheres in the flock application area. In this connection a distinction is made between flock application devices which, due to their type of construction, comply with requirements as laid down in EN 50050 and those for which higher discharge energies are stipulated. The responsible Committee is K 239 "Elektrostatische Sprühanlagen und -einrichtungen" ("Electrostatic painting and finishing equipment") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
