This European Standard gives the environmental conditions for any devices connected to HBES/BACS and defines the corresponding general requirements applicable (without being limited) to: - operator stations and other human-system interface devices; - devices for management functions; - control devices, automation stations and application-specific controllers; - field devices and their interfaces; - cabling and interconnection devices; - special engineering and commissioning tools for HBES/BACS. This standard specifies the general requirements for equipment and devices which are operated on weather protected and non-weather protected places of use or on vessels and are suitable for non-stationary use and/or storage and transport. The amendments concern the requirements for mechanical tests, Table 6.3. The responsible committee is K 716 "Elektrische Systemtechnik für Heim und Gebäude (ESHG)" ("Home and Building Electronic Systems (HBES)") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
