Amendment A1 does not contain any technical changes in the text of EN 50539-11, but only a formal reference to the consideration of essential elements of the safety objectives for electrical equipment intended for use within certain voltage limits (Low Voltage Directive - 2006/95/EC). The responsible committee is Subcommittee DKE/UK 441.1 "Überspannungsableiter bis 1 000 V" ("Surge arresters up to and including 1 000 V") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
