Overview

This standard describes the electric and mechanical characteristics of ACSS-conductors made from round or trapezoidal wires stranded in changing directions and made of soft-annealed aluminium and steel wires manufactured from one or a combination of any of the following materials: outer/conductive layers consisting of soft-annealed aluminium wire, and steel core. The responsible Committee is K 421 "Freileitungen" ("Overhead lines") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
