This document specifies requirements and tests for conduit systems with circular cross section buried underground for the protection and management of insulated conductors and/or power cables or communication cables installed individually or installed as a part of an assembly where the cable is installed by pulling or pushing. Among other things, the classification scheme for this type of pipe is specified, along with the necessary requirements and tests. These include, for example, mechanical requirements such as pressure, impact, and bending stresses, or requirements relating to external environmental influences. This document does not include requirements for leak-tightness according to EN ISO 13259 and performance time. EN 50626 2 specifies requirements and tests for performance time and leak-tightness for solid wall conduit systems made of PE, PP and PVC-U buried underground where the cables are installed by blowing or floating or conduits are installed by trenchless methods. The standard differs from DIN EN 61386-24 (VDE 0605-24):2011-08 as follows: a) The scope has been changed for better clarity and to align with EN 50626-2; b) the normative references have been updated; c) new definitions have been introduced; d) changes to the general test conditions; e) change to the classification; f) changes to the marking tests; g) change to the numbering of the figures; h) Clause 11 has been deleted and the subsequent clause numbers have been renumbered; i) Clauses 12 and 13 have been replaced by the new Clause 11.
This document replaces DIN EN 61386-24:2011-08; VDE 0605-24:2011-08 .
