DIN EN 50708-1-1:2024-04

This standard forms the basis of the EN 50708-1 series of standards, which describes additional specific European requirements from EU regulations and proven local practices for power transformers. Other parts of the DIN EN 50708 series of standards shall therefore be considered in conjunction with the requirements of this general part. This standard contains general requirements for energy efficiency, accessories, fittings, tests, mechanical requirements, and so on. The standard has been prepared to address specific European requirements from EU regulations and proven local practices regarding power transformers. The technical requirements specified in this standard supplement, amend, or replace certain requirements of other European standards derived from corresponding international IEC standards. Information on operating conditions is not included in this standard. These are defined in EN 60076-1. The standard differs from DIN EN 50629:2019-03 and DIN EN 50588-1:2019-12 as follows: a) This document combines the relevant clauses from DIN EN 50629:2019-03 and DIN EN 50588-1:2019-12. This document is part of the EN 50708 series of standards, which applies to transformers in accordance with EN 60076-1.
