Overview

This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 55016-2-1:2014 and is identical with the International Standard CISPR 16-2-1:2014. It contains specifications for the measurement procedure of radio frequency conducted disturbances (disturbance voltages and currents) of electrical and electronic equipment mainly in the frequency range 9 kHz to 30 MHz. The measurement is carried out at the respective ports, for example at the power supply and telecommunication ports of the apparatus. This standard contains the required definitions and the types of disturbance to be measured are described. The connection and test arrangement of measuring equipment, the general measurement requirements and conditions, the test set-up, etcetera, are then described and the specifications for interpretation of measuring results are given. Measurements can be carried out on open-area test sites or, alternatively, in shielded rooms. Moreover, requirements for automated measurements are specified. The standard also considers a reduction of measurement time and gives instructions for this purpose. In relation to the previous edition, relevant specifications for disturbance voltage measurements with the use of the coupling/decoupling network (CDNE) were added. For this purpose, a new Clause 9 with the relevant specifications was added to the standard. This method which has already been specified in the EMC product standard CISPR 15 or EN 55015 or DIN EN 55015 (VDE 0875) serves as an alternative to the measurement of the stray radiation. The measurement equipment used for this was derived from the DCNE used for immunity testing which is specified in IEC 61000-4-6. It has been further developed with the objective of improving reproducibility of the measurement. Furthermore, the standard has been editorially revised, whereby the revision also contains renumbering of parts of the figures in order to bring their numbers into chronological order as well as partial restructuring of texts contained in in individual clauses. When defining specifications regarding measurement of radio disturbances it is recommended to the Committees responsible for EMC products to consider the respective specifications of the standard series CISPR 16 or EN 55016 with respect to test instrumentation, measurement methods and measurement uncertainty. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 767.4 "Geräte und Verfahren zum Messen von elektromagnetischen Aussendungen" ("Equipment and methods for measurement of electromagnetic transmissions") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
