This part of IEC 60034 is applicable to all rotating electrical machines except those covered by other standards, for example, IEC 60349. Machines within the scope of this standard may also be subject to new, modified or supplementary requirements in other standards, for example, IEC 60079 and IEC 60092. The responsible Committee is K 311 "Drehende elektrische Maschinen" ("Rotating electrical machines") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Informational Technologies) at DIN and VDE.

Replacement amendments

This document replaces DIN EN 60034-1 Berichtigung 1:2007-09; VDE 0530-1 Berichtigung 1:2007-09 , DIN EN 60034-1:2005-04; VDE 0530-1:2005-04 .
