Overview

This standard applies to large rotating electrical machines and specifies additional methods of determining separate losses and efficiency in addition to IEC 60034-2-1. These methods shall be applied when full-load testing is not practical and results in a higher measurement uncertainty. The responsible Committee is K 311 "Drehende elektrische Maschinen" ("Rotating electrical machines") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Informational Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
