Part -2-57 of DIN EN 60068 sets out a generally valid test procedure with which the resistance of test specimens to transient vibrations with a specified degree of severity can be determined by applying a time curve. Instructions for specifying the test requirements for concrete specifications as well as a summary of the influences for determining the procedures are also included. In comparison to the previous edition, parts 60068-2-57 and -2-59 were editorially combined, including a standardization of the existing individual tests. The title of the standard was modified to include a sinusoidal pulse method. The responsible committee is DKE/K 131 "Umgebungsbedingungen, Klassifizierung und Prüfungen" ("Environmental conditions, classification and methods of test") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
This document replaces DIN EN 60068-2-57:2000-07 , DIN EN 60068-2-59:1995-03 .
