Overview

This standard contains specific requirements and information for primary watch batteries. This part of the DIN EN 60086 series was prepared through joint work between IEC/TC 35 and ISO/TC 114 to benefit primary battery users, watch designers and battery manufacturers by ensuring the best compatibility between batteries and watches. The mechanical, electrical and electrochemical characteristics of watch batteries are specified. The responsible committee is K 372 "Primärbatterien" ("Primary batteries") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
