This standard specifies common rules and requirements for the behaviour of measuring relays and protection equipment including any combination of devices to form schemes for power system protection such as control, monitoring and process interface equipment in order to obtain uniformity of requirements and tests. The responsible Committee is K 434 "Messrelais und Schutzeinrichtungen" ("Measuring relays and protection equipment") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.

Replacement amendments

This document replaces DIN EN 60255-6 Berichtigung 1:2008-11; VDE 0435-301 Berichtigung 1:2008-11 , DIN EN 60255-6:1994-11; VDE 0435-301:1994-11 .
