Overview

This standard specifies the general requirements for surge immunity tests for measuring relays and protection equipment for selective protection equipment in power system protection, including the control, monitoring and communication equipment used with those systems. The responsible Committee is K 434 "Messrelais und Schutzeinrichtungen" ("Measuring relays and protection equipment") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
