This standard specifies dimensions for mounting flanges of 19 inch subracks or chassis that are to be mounted into metric cabinets or racks. Additional dimensions for 19 inch subracks or chassis are in accordance with the IEC 60297 series and for metric cabinets or racks with the IEC 60917 series. The responsible Committee is K 662 "Bauweisen" ("Mechanical structures") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
