Overview
The new edition of this standard specifies general requirements for enamelled round copper wire with or without bonding layer on which the other standards of the series DIN EN 60317 are based as far as they concern round copper wire. The specifications for the breakdown voltage have been changed. The responsible committee is DKE/K 413 "Wickeldrähte" ("Winding wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
