Overview
The new edition of this standard specifies general requirements for enamelled rectangular copper wire with or without bonding layer which form the basis for the further standards of the series DIN EN 60317 as far as they cover rectangular copper wires. The specifications regarding breakdown voltage have been modified. The responsible committee is DKE/K 413 "Wickeldrähte" ("Winding wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
