Overview

This part of IEC 60317 specifies requirements for enamelled rectangular copper wire of class 120 with a sole coating based on polyvinyl acetal resin which may be modified provided it retains the chemical identity of the original resin and meets all specified wire requirements. The responsible Committee is K 413 "Wickeldrähte" ("Winding wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
