Overview

This International Standard specifies requirements for enamelled round copper wire of class 180 with a double coating. The base coating is based on polyester or polyesterimide resin which may be modified provided it retains the chemical identity of the original resin and meets all specified wire requirements. The top coating is based on polyesterimide resin. The responsible Committee is K 413 "Wickeldrähte" ("Winding wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
