This standard of the series DIN EN 60317 supplements the corresponding basic standard DIN EN 60317-0-2 on enamelled rectangular copper wire by particular specifications for paper tape covered rectangular copper wire consisting of two or more layers of paper tape. The responsible committee is DKE/K 413 "Wickeldrähte" ("Winding wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
