This standard of the series DIN EN 60317 supplements the corresponding basic standard DIN EN 60317-0-5 on flat copper wires by special specifications on glass-fibre braided resin or varnish impregnated, bare or enamelled rectangular copper wire, temperature index 180. The responsible committee is DKE/K 413 "Wickeldrähte" ("Winding wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
