Overview

This standard applies to connectors for electric and electronic applications. It specifies a test method to assess the ability of a connector to withstand impacts it would receive when dropped repeatedly. The responsible Committee is K 651 "Steckverbinder" ("Connectors") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) of DIN and VDE.

Replacement amendments

This document partially replaces DIN IEC 60512-5:1994-05 .
