This standard applies to connectors for electrical and electronic applications. The test described in this standard determines the robustness of an actuating lever of a connector mating or release mechanism. The responsible committee is K 651 "Steckverbinder" ("Connectors") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.

Replacement amendments

This document partially replaces DIN IEC 60512-5:1994-05 .
