Overview

The standard specifies requirements for mains socket-outlet mounted nightlights for use with electric light sources, on supply voltages not exceeding 250 V a.c. 50/60 Hz. It is to be read in conjunction with the main sections of DIN EN 60598-1 (VDE 0711-1) to which reference is made. The standard does not cover luminaires for surveillance lighting. The responsible Committee is DKE/UK 521.4 "Leuchten" ("Luminaires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.

Replacement amendments

This document replaces DIN EN 60598-2-12 Berichtigung 1:2007-04; VDE 0711-2-12 Berichtigung 1:2007-04 , DIN EN 60598-2-12:2007-01; VDE 0711-2-12:2007-01 .
