The published version is intended to update the references to DIN EN 60601-1:2013 to include Amendment 1:2012 of IEC. Additionally, minor editorial update had been made. The responsible body is DKE/K 811 "Allgemeine Bestimmungen für elektrische Einrichtungen in medizinischer Anwendung" ("General provisions for electrical installations in medical use") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
